During the discussion, PM Modi outlined his vision for a digitally inclusive India, stressing his commitment to bridging the digital gap by extending infrastructure to even the most remote villages. He shared inspiring stories from initiatives like the ‘Namo Drone Didi’ scheme, illustrating how technology can transform lives and empower women.
Bill Gates commended India’s rapid technological progress and innovation, especially in areas like Green GDP and sustainable development. They also discussed the role of AI in translating languages, showcasing India’s advancements at global forums like the G20 Summit and the Kashi Tamil Sangamam.
PM Modi underscored the significance of AI in modern governance while cautioning against its misuse. He emphasized that AI should complement human effort rather than replace it, ensuring that it doesn’t become a tool for laziness.

Gates also hinted that India is rapidly adopting technology and its leadership in this regard. Prime Minister Modi, in turn, invited Gates to take a selfie using the Photo Booth feature on the Namo App.

He also praised India’s achievements, stating that the Gates Foundation is eager to support similar progress in other countries.
