Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently had a telephone conversation with Mr Alexander De Croo, the Prime Minister of Belgium. During the call, PM Modi congratulated PM De Croo on Belgium’s successful hosting of the First Nuclear Energy Summit in Brussels.
The leaders also took the opportunity to review the strong relations between India and Belgium. They explored avenues to further enhance their bilateral partnership across various sectors, including trade, investment, clean technologies, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, green hydrogen, IT, defence, and ports.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the India-EU Strategic Partnership, particularly under Belgium’s ongoing Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Additionally, PM Modi and PM De Croo exchanged views on regional and global developments. They emphasized the importance of cooperation and support for achieving peace and security in the West Asia region and resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The conversation concluded with an agreement between the two leaders to maintain regular communication and collaboration.
