NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Thursday lay the foundation stone of two additional corridors of Delhi Metro from Lajpat Nagar via Saket-G Block and Inderlok via Indraprastha during his visit to Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
These corridors of Delhi Metro’s Phase-IV will together be more than 20 Kilometres in length and will help improve connectivity and further reduce traffic congestion.
The stations on the Lajpat Nagar to Saket G- Block corridor will include Lajpat Nagar, Andrews Ganj, Greater Kailash – 1, Chirag Delhi, Pushpa Bhawan, Saket District Centre, Pushp Vihar and Saket G – Block.
The stretch will give much relaxation for the south Delhi residents, As per the Detailed Project Report (DPR) it will ease traffic congestion from Mehrauli-Badarpur road.
The stations on the Lajpat Nagar to Saket G- Block corridor will include Lajpat Nagar, Andrews Ganj, Greater Kailash – 1, Chirag Delhi, Pushpa Bhawan, Saket District Centre, Pushp Vihar and Saket G – Block.
While the stations on the Inderlok – Indraprastha corridor will include Inderlok, Daya Basti, Sarai Rohilla, Ajmal Khan Park, Nabi Karim, New Delhi, LNJP Hospital, Delhi Gate, Delhi Sachivalaya, Indraprastha.
